After it was all done and I let it warm up, It was time to see
what these new add-ons would feel like to drive.
Holy Crap! I pulled up to the Highway, Threw it in first and let loose.
Wow! The lower RPM's were much more responsive than I had anticipated. The torque was great and my first time nailing 1st
gear I backed off because frankly, it scared me at first.
I laughed out loud and knew I was going to have to get used to how the car
is now going to drive. The gas pedal is so much lighter to the touch than the stock throttle body. I barely tap it and the
front end of the car jerks up (even in 4th and 5th!!). By the end of the day, I am well on my way of getting used to how the
car will now drive.
On the way home, I had a V8 Camaro coming up next to me. I was already at a full
stop and the light turned green (he was still in motion to the light) and he punched it. So I said 'why not I know I won't
beat him...but screw it let's see what this babys got!' He went past me and got about 2 car lengths ahead and that was all.
I was able to stay on his ass and not lose ground. I hit about 70mph and backed off. But man, What a rush!
The best part of this is I still have to install the new Under Drive
Pulley. Which will give me another 5-10hp =P.
Plus hopefully next weekend I'll be able to install the NEWLY Designed
Head Gasket. It's a MLS (Multi-Level-Steel) Head-gasket. Hopefully this will solve the ultimate problem that Neons suffer
from. A leaky Head Gasket just after only 60,000 miles.
Again, Always check back often as I will constantly be making changes to my car.
When I get time, I'm going to go to the track and upload the Video of my running! Check back soon!!
Thanks!
